From the beginning, we want this to be very clear: Bridge Church is a church for people who really don't want to attend church.
Some people don’t like church because it’s boring, irrelevant, full of hypocrites, and often led by greedy guys who only care about your cash flow. And church is usually really boring, too. Maybe you have seen our billboards around the region that promote "Church, But Different." Bridge Church is a different community of people. We want to be seen as followers and disciples of Jesus, rather than church going Christians. We want to be different in that we are an externally focused church, not an internally focused one.
As we have been out in the community we have listened to what you have to say. You believe that there needs to be something in Lake County for your kids and students. You have also told us that you believe that people don't go to church because they are too busy. We are making a promise to you that we will create an exciting and fun place for you to brings kids and youth to. We pledge to you that we will not make your life busier, but help you manage your life correctly.
These are not empty political promises we are throwing at you just to get your vote, well.. attendance in this case. We are people just like you with busy lives and kids that we want to see grow to be great adults and we are going to do what it takes to make that happen!
I want to invite you to take time to attend a service at Bridge Church. You will be welcomed regardles of who you are, what you do, where you live, or what you wear or don't wear. I will warn you up front, if you grew up in a traditional, orthodox church, you might be surprised to see people wearing shorts or jeans and a tee-shirt. Even though we meet in a school building, we really are a true bona-fide church. Don't get hung up that we don't have our own building, I don't think Jesus would. Come out some Sunday morning, I would love to meet you!
